posted 05/15/2012 Concession Update:
Thanks to excellent response from all the families the slots we were intially allotted are mostly full. We are currently reviewing the numbers every week to see if Bennett has enough volunteers at the selected times. We are also in the process of figuring out post season play and sorting through the coverage we need for those tournaments from ETLL. As more openings become available will let you know. ETLL will not cash any checks, unless someone has signed up and not shown up for their time.
Bennett cannot operated without the volunteers from ETLL. This is our first year with signupgenius.com and this method of volunteering. We are working hard at matching number of slots with number of players/families. Head coaches and team parents are not doing concessions, because of all the other volunteering they are doing. Thank you for your help.

posted 05/10/2012 League Night with the Saints Tickets are in!! Pick up your individual orders at Bennett Saturday, May 12th from 11am to 12pm. Thank you to all who are going to participate. We will have a great time at the game and we raised some money for our league at the same time.
Winners for the Saints Event Participation will be posted on the ETLL website tonight. Please see if your child was drawn for one of these items.
Tailgating can begin as early as 4pm at Midway Stadium. Let's attempt to tailgate as a league--I know that many of us have kids on different teams. Place a paper in your windshield that says "ETLL" and look for others in our community. The best place to park in the lot is by the Enterance (it is close to the Exit when it is time to leave!).
If you still would like to attend, it is not too late. Contact Chuck Richards at
Let him know that you are with ETLL and he will seat you with the league.
Again, thank you for participating as this gives us the opportunity to skip sending our children out selling door-to-door.

Rainout Procedure
Hi everyone I think there was a bit of confusion yesterday as to how to find out if games will be played or not in case of bad weather. Game cancellations are determined by Bennett if they decided that the fields are not playable they will make the call and update their rainout line. If the rainout line does not say games have been canceled assume that your team will play. Games are played in the rain. League Directors and Coaches follow the same procedure and have no other info.
The Bennett Family Park Rainout Hotline number is 952-487-5055. We will follow what they are saying at the time.

ETLL Umpire Update for those age 17 or older by June 15, 2012
For the upcoming season, all current ETLL umps who are 17 years or older by June 15, 2012, who wish to continue umping at ETLL are required to join the North Metro Umpire Association. This association is run by director Chuck Triggs. By doing this, you will be able to umpire ETLL National and American League games, and work games in Hopkins, Plymouth/Wayzata, Hamel, Robbinsdale and other area Little Leagues. This is a great opportunity to work more games, have more flexibility with your schedule and advance your umpiring abilities.
The North Metro Umpire Association is also accepting registration from other adults who are currently not in the NMUA program to join and work ETLL and other area games.
For training, registration and other information about the NMUA program, please visit the North Metro Umpire Association website at nmua.net and click on Information on the left side of the page. You can also reach Chuck by phone at 763-286-1862.
ETLL Umpire Update for those younger than age 17 by June 15, 2012
All current umpires who are 13 years or older (or entering 8th grade in the 2012-13 school year) and younger than 17 years old by June 15, 2012, will be able to umpire CP, 8A, 9AA and 10AAA games this upcoming season through the existing ETLL umpire program.
You will be assigned to a league(s) based on number of umpires in the program. There is a chance you may umpire at the same league level you did last season or move down/up a league.
This program will be administered by Dan Allen, with oversight by Keith Wandrei and Lynn Noll. We will have 2 training sessions offered in April (more info to come in January); you must attend one session to be eligible to ump CP-10AAA, no exceptions.
If you have any questions about the upcoming season, please email Keith at
or call him at 952-938-6839.
