Saints Night
by posted 05/07/2013

We are ready for the Saint game on Saturday!
Please remember a few key items:

-All tickets will be under your last name at will call.  Your team parent will not have them.

-Tailgating will be at the back part of the parking lot.  This makes it a lot easier to leave when the game is over because the entrance/exit to the lot is at the back of the lot.

-Check traffic before you leave for the game.  Road construction is underway now and it can be a hassle if you get stuck.
We have a really big group of our ETLL community going to the game.  It is always fun and exciting.  If you would still like tickets, please call John Lewis with the Saints at 651-288-9893.

IMPORTANT ETLL GOLF FUNDRAISER NEWS

IMPORTANT ETLL GOLF FUNDRAISER NEWS

Hello ETLL Friends and Families-

My name is Steve Countryman and I am on the East Tonka Little League Board serving as the Fundraising / Sponsorship Director. As many of you know, we have one fundraiser each year....A fun day of golf at Deer Run Golf Club (this year's event is scheduled for June 12th). I'd like to take a minute of your time to explain how and why this particular event is so important to ETLL.

ETLL is a "tenant" of Bennett Family Park (BFP). We are one of four groups who utilizes this wonderful facility. BFP, in and of itself, is a very unique place. I understand it to be one of only a handful like it in the country. One way to describe Bennett is as follows: "A private park open to the public." There are no public subsidies and/or tax dollars that support the park.

Therefore, this incredible place, known as Bennett Family Park, functions in many ways by dedicated volunteers, local sponsors, private donations, fundraiser's, etc. Our particular ETLL budget receives funds via three main resources: registration fees, team sponsorship fees and our golf fundraiser. All expenses, dues, scholarships, field repairs, etc are paid via the income generated from these three main revenue streams.

I am putting this e-mail together to ask for your help, as we have several needs for the golf tournament. Our goal for this years event is to raise $25,000. (the money we raised last year re-built both infields on Field 2 and Field 4)

Our needs:

  > Sponsors (click here for more info). This is the main revenue stream for the event.

  > Some great gifts for the silent and live auction events (game tickets, golf rounds, other gift ideas, etc) Please see the attached form for whom to contact, etc.

  > Golfers....last year we had just over 90 golfers and we can max out at around 144. You can register on the ETLL web site now, so please sign up as soon as you can.

ETLL is a (501c-3, Non-profit, EIN 41-6038687organization, so all gifts are tax deductible.

Lastly, with regard to sponsors: Many companies, both public and private, set aside funds for educational programs, athletic programs, etc. Due to the unique nature of ETLL's status, we may qualify as an approved program for those special funds set aside by your particular company. I have been calling on most of the local businesses in the greater Minnetonka area for the past couple of months. They have been GREATsupporters for many, many years!! Not only do they support ETLL Baseball, but many other sport teams and various other programs within our community. Therefore, we need support from companies outside of our local community to reach our goal of $25,000. A 1/2 hole sponsor is only $500 and there are opportunities to participate at $1000 or even $2000. (attached spreadsheet will explain more about the levels) Please consider looking into whether or not your company allocates funds to support organizations like ETLL.

THANK YOU in advance for anything you can do to help make this years event a success!

Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions as well.

Thank you for your time,

Steve Countryman

Important Miracle Field News:

Only rubber-soled shoes are allowed on the Miracle League Field. If your child is a buddy for the game, please have tennis shoes available for your child to wear. No skateboards or roller-blades or wheeled shoes on the field.
We need the parent's help to watch their child while at Bennett to ensure that the field is kept from harm. If anyone sees someone doing something that could potentially be harmful to the field, please let the Concession Stand Manager on Duty know and the issue will be handled. Thank you for your help.
