Coachs/Managers Message
Monday 08/04/08
4 August 08
Hi Team Parents -- This is likely your last email from me until next season. You'll miss me -- you know it!!! :)
Hello ETLL Families,
MANDITORY turn in date for equipment is this Saturday AUGUST 9th, 2008 from 9:00 to 11:00 at BFP. THIS IS THE SECOND AND LAST DATE FOR TURN IN.
Parents: Please do not bring individual uniforms/pants to the turn in. Get them to your coach or team parents. If the coach can not make it please find a parent that can drop all equipment and uniforms off and collect your deposit check.
Coaches/Team Parents: Please wash and fold Uniforms and pants and bring with all equipment to the Bennett Park Equipment Shed at the same time. We expect all baseball equipment back including the bag, balls, bases, bats, etc. Next year we will redistribute.
All players should keep their hats and socks.
All players 8A and younger (Rookies, CP6 & CP7) should keep
everything, including their pants. (hat, socks, jersey and pants)
All 9AA & 10AAA Players should keep their hat, socks and jersey. Pants and belt should be returned.
All NL and AL Players should keep their hat and socks. Full uniform needs to be returned including their jersey, pants and belt with plastic bin. If your team purchased t-shirts or sweatpants etc. those are yours to keep. All All Stars can keep the hats, socks. If you were on a 10,11 or 12 year old District team, then you can keep the T-Shirt, also.
Questions?

REMINDER! (9AA, 10AAA, NL, AL) Team uniforms are due Saturday, July 19th from 9-11 at Bennett -- all uniforms should be returned to you cleaned. You should be delivering all the uniforms for your team -- parents are not to bring their own kids' uniforms one by one. If you have an all star on your team who is still playing and using his/her pants and belt, you can bring your entire teams' uniforms to return date #2 on August 9th from 9-11. THANKS!

TP's -- The previous message may have been a little confusing - my apologies. What WE team parents are resposible for is getting the CLEANED uniform pants/belts (and for NL and AL entire uniform) back from each player, returning his or her deposit check to them and getting the uniforms returned in one lump rather than one-by-one during the return times listed previously. If a player does not get his/her uniform returned to you, you will hand in his/her deposit check instead of the uniform. When making the returns, please point that situation out to Tom Thoreson if it should arise. Questions? Lemmeno!!
Thanks,
A

Hey TP's It has been brought to my attention that there are SEVERAL baseball mitts/gloves that have been turned in to the BFP Lost & Found. Many may not know that the mitts are not being placed in the general pile of L&F by the men's restroom, but are being kept safely in the concessions stand area. Please deliver this message to your teams in case anyone is missing his or her mitt. They have also got a BMW key/chain there. Simply go to the stand and tell them you are looking for a mitt (or the key) and identify it as best you can and they will get it to you. Thanks for spreading the word!!

Hey TP's! Quick VERY IMPORTANT request from John Nelson, the Golf Tournie Driector -- he really needs those of you who donated baskets (THANK YOU SO MUCH!) to determine the value for the baskets and send a note to him regarding value and description. Please do so today at jnelson@NelsonLegalPA.com. THANK YOU!!

Hey Gang! TROPHY TIME! In my humble opinion, you should all be getting trophies for your hard work you have given to your teams (and the concession stand) this year, but alas, not in my budget -- so, the next best thing -- The ETLL trophies for this year have been delivered to Bennett Park! They are located upstairs above the concession stand. For all leagues, please decide with your coaches if you or they will pick them up. PLEASE take only the exact number of trophies needed (one for each kid); the older divisions do not receive participation trophies (9AA-AL). The distribution is as follows:
One participation trophy per player in the following divisions: Rookie, CP-6, CP-7, 8A
1st and 2nd place trophies for the following: 8A, 9AA, 10AAA, AL
3rd place trophies for the following: 9AA, 10AAA
All Star trophies for 2 NL League All Star teams.
If your team is not going to be one of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place teams, you are not required to get trophies unless you are 8A, then your team gets participation trophies. If you aren't sure yet, obviously when you do know, coordinate with the other coach and/or team parent to decide who will pick them up and hold them during the game. Clear as mud? Good! PLEASE don't hesitate to contact me with questions.
Thanks!

Hey TP's! Happy Summer! One more reminder that the Golf Outing and Parent Party are coming up pretty quickly -- Wednesday June 18th is the event -- it's a blast and I hope to see you there! I will be there, megaphone in hand to sell the live autcion items -- come laugh at me... ALSO -- please get your team's baskets together and get them delivered to John Nelson @ 4735 Sparrow Rd. Mtka. Or you can reach him at 612.327.2183. This is a major part of our fund raising for this event -- you all come up with so many great ideas! Please refer to the back 4 or 5 pages of your hand book for donation forms and RSVP's for the party. The deadline for getting baskets to John is June 15th. we cannot tell you how much we appreciate your work on this!
And one more reminder to get your team's sponsor plaques and get those delivered to your teams' sponsors. Matt Schulenberg is the sponsor director on the ETLL Board and will be happy to get you the sponsor contact information if you should need it. You can get his contact information at ETLL.org.
Thanks, Gentlemen and Ladies! THINK BASKETS!!

Hey Gang!
There are still SEVERAL sponsor plaques up in the pavillion at Bennett to be picked up and delivered to your teams' sponsors. PLEASE DO SO THIS WEEK! And, if you haven't approached your teams about Parent Party team baskets for the silent auction items, now is the time to do so and to get it together and deliver it to John Nelson. 4735 Sparrow Rd. Mtka. Please get on this as the Golf Outing and Parent Party are, like Twins night, also crucial fund raisers for ETLL. Thank you!
